After about 8 months of working 7 days a week I finally published my second book, "Jump into Vue". Similar to "A Primer for DAZ Studio" it is a quick start book for the 3D software Vue which is known for creating beautiful images of terrains and landscapes. Getting some very positive feedback on the book. However just as I was nearing a self-imposed deadline for publishing the book, disaster struck. According to my (then) host one of my websites was hacked though there was lots of confusion as to whether it was actually hacked or if it was a false positive or ... Anyway their response was to take all of the websites on my accounts offline. This made it impossible to run any tests, clear out the hacks or try to salvage the clean websites. I have since moved my account to a more friendly and knowledgeable host. Once the book was published I then had to build the new book's site and rebuild some of the others. Unfortunately I may never be able to rebuild some of the sites as I don't have that much spare time which is unfortunate as they provided a lot of information and articles.
One daunting task is going to be to rebuild the Learn.Create blog which supplied a lot of useful information for DAZ Studio users. BTW this blog will also be on the new book's site as some of the information will be relevant for users of both softwares. Anyway I hope to get the older posts back up along with newer ones, over the next little while. So check back frequently or sign up to the blog to keep informed of new posts.
